The News reaching us from Nigeria has it that the two big wing political parties in the Country named PDP and APC have clashed during the first reading of the 2014 Appropriation bill. While Senators from the PDP think the appropriation bill is good to go and should qualify for second reading so that the transformation agenda of the President Good luck Jonathan Administration government can continue and be in progress, the APC Senators think that the bill doesn't capture the needs of the people but ways to enrich the politicians, they argued that more attention should be paid to resolving insecurity in the North East and questioned why the South-South should be entitled to 100 billion Naira and North East 2 billion when insurgency is higher in the North East zone, Is the Resources generated in both Zones also equal as well?
The Opposition party (APC) Senators called for the resignation of the Finance Minister and Supervising Minister for the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala because they believe she has failed Nigerians. You will recall that earlier before now, the Opposition APC party Leadership has directed its members at the Upper and Lower House of Assembly to block all bills from the Executive including Nigeria's 2014 National Budget  and the Confirmations of the Nations Service Chiefs.
What's your take on this? Are the APC Senators finally executing the orders they got from their party and is the motives Genuine? Should the appropriation bill be held to ransom and the country stopped or it should be passed so the transformation agenda of the government can continue? Is the Senators at the plat form of APC making the right points or those in the plat form of  PDP? Let's hear your noble opinion!
